I found my great great grandfather, William Watkins and a brother serving aboard the ship Morfa. I knew his father had been a mariner and was looking for him. Interesting, it may explain some things

Think your site is great! Have found my great, great grandfather, David Gronow, cert.31332, om64, OC69, who sailed on the Monkchester, which went down off the coast of Brisbane, April 1st 1877. I have been able to find two other vessels he sailed on, Rebe and David Jenkins, on your site, but the Monkchester is not listed. I could not believe it when I saw that his ship had been wrecked off the coast of Australia, and 100 years later we came to live here!

Thanks so much, great site to see. My mariner's are Lee's, Havelock's, Donkersley's and Thompson's all born Durham. I see you have a George W Lee and I will have to check if he is a son of a brother. I too sailed a short while - I was a Merchant Mariner Documents -- Z-card and was delighted when I found I had mariner's in my background -- it explained a lot about me. Great site, I can smell the salt, Cherie Lynn

Hi,managed to trace some info on my Cornish ancestors who came to Swansea from Hayle. Thanks. Any chance on finding passengers from Germany to trace there?
